Chevon Andre Brooks, Esq. is the founder and managing member of Brooks & Berne, PLLC. Chevon concentrates his practice on the defense of property and casualty matters in both federal and state courts. Practicing law for sixteen years, Chevon brings commitment, creativity and consistent communication in providing extensive appellate experience and valuable insight in handling client matters from inception through trial and appeal. He currently handles insurance coverage, bad faith, excess/umbrella coverage, New York Labor Law, complex construction, municipal liability, products liability, asbestos exposure, motor vehicle, workers’ compensation defense and general negligence cases.
Chevon is licensed to practice law in New York and Georgia. Coupled with his desire to provide clients with the best defense at a fair cost, Chevon achieved his personal goal of opening Brooks & Berne, PLLC, a minority certified firm composed of individuals from backgrounds that vary by race, ethnicity, social background, religion, gender and age. Included in this goal is a desire to assist those who are less fortunate. With this vision, Chevon spearheaded the founding of the firm’s pro bono program, which provides legal services to indigent individuals and businesses. He also regularly mentors minority attorneys.
